MEET TALANA

As a passionate photographer, I love taking pictures to capture moments and create lasting memories.

I mix light and fine art in my photography style and enjoy putting effort into my editing techniques.

Above all, I focus on capturing the personalities of the people I photograph.

In conclusion, I shoot pictures and find absolute joy in them, always trying to make the new ones better than those before.

I BELIEVE THAT EVERY PERSON SHOULD BE FRAMED IN THE MOMENTS THEY’VE FELT THE MOST LOVED AND CARED FOR.

I do maternity, wedding, matric farewell, family photography and event sessions

If you have children in your life, their smiling faces almost certainly dominate your photo collection. From those squishy newborn photo shoots to the rambunctious toddler years and throughout childhood, those fast-moving memories can all be captured on camera.

I cherishes family moments myself.

Family is the most important thing in our lives. It is where we find love, support, and comfort. Whether it’s a big family or a small one, every family is unique and special in its own way.

FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

I deliver between 25 and 50 photos from a one-hour portrait session. This number can vary depending on the number of people and what package where booked.

How should we dress for our family session?

Pastels and light neutrals (white, pale pink, pale purple, peach, tan, etc) will give a soft, monotone look whereas bold colors (think: navy, bright purple, pink, bold blue, etc) will provide more contrast and help you stand out from the background. Both look great! It's up to you and what you want on your walls.

What’s the best time to have a session?

The perfect light is the "golden hour," which lasts for about an hour right after sunrise and an hour right before sunset when the sun is low in the sky and offers a soft, diffused light.

Will we get the copyrights to our photos after the event?

Yes! You will have full copyright ownership. We do reserve the right to use your pictures in our marketing effort and/or competitions.

How many photographers will be at our wedding?

A single photographer is standard unless you prefer full coverage and don't want to miss any moments. Especially for larger weddings with over 100 guests.

Can I add on extra sessions?

You are welcome to add an additional session. An engagement shoot will produce beautiful pictures for your "Save the date" invites. Some brides book a boudoir session and give her groom a special gift on the wedding day, in the form of a printed album.

How do we reserve our date?

Send us an email at talanavantonder18@gmail.com, and we will give you more information on this matter. A 30% deposit and signed contract are required to get your event day on the calendar. Two weeks before your wedding, the remainder of the balance is due.

Do I have to order prints through you?

We highly recommend ordering prints through our professional vendors, but it is not required. The difference is quality is HUGE when it comes to ordering through a local printer and a professional lab, so we encourage clients to let us help with prints!

We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?

Take a moment to remind yourself of your remarkable achievements, unique strengths, and the inspiring reasons that led you to this photoshoot in the first place.

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

Later in the day the sun is too far overhead to provide nice light inside. This time of day is always when baby is typically happiest

How should we dress for our family session?

Relaxed and casual clothing like jeans and a t-shirt or light shirt/blouse or a floaty dress work particularly well for in-home and outdoor family sessions.
